Get the best Sky TV & Broadband packages

Sky TV costs savings, a simple but effective guide. This article is aimed at current Sky customers, to give tips on managing costs or even reducing the monthly cost.

Sky TV savings – Where to get a good deal

Over the years getting a deal with Sky has been described as complicated. Sky TV has now simplified the process so when you log on to the Sky website you will see a ‘Deals’ tab. On this tab there is a section just for TV, Broadband and mobile phone deals.

Here you will find all available deals, it is important you review these if you don’t have a contractual deal in place but are still a customer as your costs even for the basic packages may have spiralled and this would be a great way to reduce your monthly outgoings.

Suffice to say that each of the deals will likely come with a minimum contract time i.e. 18 months. You have a choice whether you lock in on a deal to save money or have flexibility to leave.

Personal situation

With the Global Pandemic, it has enabled me personally to reflect on my own financial situation and my outgoings. One such luxury outgoing is my Sky TV package. I have been a loyal customer for many years but noticed my bill spiralling upwards of £100. I wanted to bring this down to a more manageable size and noticed I was not utilising a sizeable amount of my package. After addressing this and effectively scaling down to the basic TV & Broadband package I noticed I still seemed to be paying £60.

Reviewing the deals on the Sky website I could see that I personally could save £20 per month. Yes it ties me in for 18 months but I would likely have been on Sky regardless over this period. Before you invest in a TV package from Sky, it’s important to make sure you’re getting a good deal.
